Dial: anthracite sunburst sandwich
The dial is a dark grey anthracite with a sunburst finish that radiates from the center. The sandwich construction has the top layer cut away to reveal vintage beige Super-LumiNova underneath — numerals at 12 and 6, baton indices everywhere else. The polished steel hands carry matching beige luminous fill. The contrast between the dark grey sunburst dial and the polished hands is what gives this reference its versatility: it reads as more refined than the matte dial Panerais but less formal than the ivory-dial Due variants.
Case: 10.5mm polished Due profile
At 10.5mm thick, the Due is dramatically slimmer than the standard 15.6mm Luminor. The entire case — cushion body, fixed bezel, and crown guard lever — is finished in a full mirror polish. There are no brushed surfaces. This is a dress watch first, and the polish reflects that. The crown guard engages with firm tension against the winding stem gasket.
Movement: Dandong P.900
The P.900 is the same slimmer architecture VSF uses across their Due and Submersible lines. Because it's a ground-up integrated clone rather than a modified off-the-shelf movement with added plates, it fits the 10.5mm Due case without bulging the caseback. Hacking seconds, smooth hand-winding, quick-set date that flips cleanly at midnight. Power reserve and timekeeping stability match the rest of the Dandong P.900 line.
Strap
The "Scamosciato" strap is a light tan suede/nubuck leather with a velvety distressed texture and beige contrast stitching. The warm leather tone ties into the vintage beige lume on the dial. It comes on a polished steel Pre-V tang buckle that matches the case finish. The strap gives the watch a more casual, heritage look compared to the black alligator option on other Due configurations.
Things to check in QC
The anthracite dial should show an even sunburst with no dull patches or banding. The sandwich cut-outs at 12 and 6 should have clean edges. The case finish should be fully polished — any brushing means the wrong spec. Verify the date is centered and flips cleanly. The crown guard lever should close firmly without grinding. At 10.5mm, the case should look visibly thinner than a standard Luminor.
