The Panerai Luminor Marina Goldtech PAM01112 is the full-gold variant in the 44mm Luminor line. VSF plates a 316L steel case in a rose gold alloy that replicates Panerai's Goldtech formula. Standard yellow gold would look wrong on a Panerai. The red undertone in Goldtech keeps it from reading as jewelry and pushes it back toward something you could imagine on a dive deck, even if nobody is actually diving with a gold watch. The blue sunburst dial does the heavy lifting on legibility and contrast. VSF Watch Factory got the plating tone and the dial color right.

The gold. Goldtech is Panerai's rose gold alloy with a higher copper content than standard rose gold. It reads warmer and redder. VSF's plating is consistent across the case body, bezel, crown guard, and buckle. The brushing on the case body breaks up the reflectiveness so the watch does not look like a solid block of shine. The polished bezel and the brushed case work together the same way they do on the steel models, just louder. A gold Panerai is not a subtle choice. This one is not trying to be. The weight is still steel underneath, so it wears with the same heft as the non-plated Luminors.
The dial. Blue sunburst sandwich dial with white Super-LumiNova. VSF used white lume instead of beige, which is correct for this reference and keeps the dial looking modern against the gold case. Vintage lume would muddy the blue and pull the watch in a direction Panerai did not intend. The gold hands with white fill match the case without disappearing into the blue dial. Legibility is good in daylight and the lume holds a charge. The blue-to-gold color combination is the whole reason this reference exists and VSF got the pairing right.
The movement. Dandong P.9010. Independent jumping hour hand for time zone adjustment and date quickset through the hour hand. Neither interrupts the running seconds. Same movement as every other VSF Luminor. On a gold-plated reference the movement consistency across the range matters. The plating is already a variable. The internals should not be.
The strap. Dark blue alligator-embossed leather with white contrast stitching and a brushed Goldtech tang buckle. The blue matches the dial. The white stitching ties into the lume. The alligator embossing adds texture without the cost of actual alligator. The Goldtech buckle is a solid match for the case tone. If you plan to wear it regularly, swapping to a blue rubber or canvas strap will save the leather from sweat and scratches. The gold case does most of the visual work either way.
