The Panerai Submersible GMT Navy SEALs PAM01513 is the Carbotech GMT with the crosshair subdial and the camouflage strap. It combines the carbon case from the Submersible Carbon line with the GMT function from the P.9010 movement and the SEALs branding from the 1323/1324 series. The dial. Black textured matte finish to cut reflections. The lume is a vintage yellowish tone on the indices and hands. The GMT hand is bright yellow and stands out against the dark dial. The crosshair target pattern on the small seconds subdial at 9 is the same sniper scope reticle design from the steel 1323 and Carbon 1324. "NAVY SEALS" is printed on the dial. The date sits at 3. It is a busy dial compared to a standard Submersible. GMT hand, crosshair, SEALs text, date, small seconds. A lot is happening. But the all-black-and-yellow palette keeps it from feeling cluttered. VSF got the yellow tone and the crosshair printing right.
The case. 44mm Carbotech. Compressed carbon fiber sheets with a polymer binder. Matte black with visible layered striations. Each case pattern is unique. The crown guard and bezel are both Carbotech. The bezel has raised Carbotech graduations and rotates with firm clicks. The luminous pip at 12 is centered. Carbon makes the 44mm case noticeably lighter than a steel Submersible of the same size. It wears more comfortably over long stretches. VSF's Carbotech pattern is correct and the case finish is consistent.
The movement. Dandong P.9010 GMT. This is the GMT variant of the P.9010 with a central yellow GMT hand for tracking a second time zone. It also has the independent jumping hour hand for adjusting local time in one-hour clicks without stopping the running seconds. The date is driven through the hour hand. This is the correct movement for a Submersible GMT and the function set matches gen. Winding is smooth and the date change is clean.
The strap. Camouflage bi-material with a fabric exterior bonded to a rubber lining. The camo pattern is muted greens and greys that work with the matte black carbon case without overwhelming it. The buckle is DLC-coated titanium with a tang closure. Titanium keeps the weight down and the DLC coating matches the dark Carbon case. Strap changes are fast and this case takes black rubber or grey NATO naturally. The camo strap gives the watch its military identity without requiring aftermarket changes.
