The Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa PAM01391 is the 44mm steel Submersible with the Luna Rossa sailing team livery. Blue sunburst dial, red small seconds hand, red racing stripe on the strap, and a blue rubberized crown ring borrowed from the SEALs editions. It is the steel counterpart to the Carbon Luna Rossa 1563. Same color logic, different case material. VSF Watch got the blue dial intensity, the red accents, and the crown color right.

The Luna Rossa colors. Blue sunburst dial, red small seconds hand, red central stripe on the strap, and a blue rubberized crown ring. The blue is a bright oceanic sunburst that shifts with the light. The red is the same racing red Panerai uses across all Luna Rossa collaborations. The blue crown ring is the same design cue the SEALs editions use, just color-matched to the dial instead of yellow or green. Four blue and red elements distributed across the dial, crown, and strap. Enough color to read as intentional without feeling overloaded. VSF matched the blue sunburst correctly and the red tone is clean.
The dial. Blue sunburst with white Super-LumiNova dots and batons. The white lume keeps the dial legible and prevents the blue-on-blue problem that a darker lume would create. The skeletonized hands with white fill stay visible against the blue background. "LUNA ROSSA" is printed at 6. Date at 3, small seconds at 9 with the red hand. The red seconds hand is the focal point of the dial and it draws the eye without pulling attention away from the time.
The crown. Blue rubberized ring on the winding crown. It is a functional grip surface and a visual cue. The blue matches the dial and the strap. It sits at the case edge and is visible from the side. In photos it reads as a color-matched detail. On wrist it is a small blue accent at the edge of an otherwise brushed steel watch. VSF matched the blue correctly and the rubber is properly bonded.
The case. 44mm fully brushed steel. The brushing absorbs light and hides daily wear. The crown guard and bezel are brushed to match. The bezel has polished raised graduations that are the only reflective surface on the case. The bezel action is firm with clean clicks and the luminous pip at 12 is centered. The 44mm size is the QuarantaQuattro sweet spot between the 42mm and 47mm Submersibles.
The movement. Dandong P.900 automatic. Standard date quickset and small seconds at 9. No independent jumping hour hand. The P.900 is the correct movement for the 44mm Submersible without GMT. Reliable, smooth winding, clean date change.
The strap. Dark blue bi-material with a rubberized textile top over a rubber base. The central red racing stripe has "LUNA ROSSA" branding along it. The red matches the small seconds hand. The blue matches the dial and crown ring. The buckle is brushed steel with a tang closure and matches the case finish. Strap changes are fast and this case takes blue rubber or black NATO naturally. The red stripe strap gives the watch enough identity that an aftermarket swap is not necessary.
