The Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa PAM01543 is the Ti-Ceramitech version of the Luna Rossa Submersible. Ti-Ceramitech is ceramized titanium. Panerai treats the titanium surface with electrolytic plasma oxidation, which produces a dark matte finish that sits somewhere between grey and navy blue depending on the light. It is harder than bare titanium and more scratch-resistant. The white grainy dial and the red Luna Rossa accents are the visual identity. VSF Watch got the Ti-Ceramitech finish tone and the dial texture right.

The case material. Ti-Ceramitech is titanium that has been through an electrolytic plasma oxidation process. The surface converts to a ceramic-like layer that is harder than the raw metal underneath. The color is a dark matte that shifts between grey and navy depending on ambient light. It is not a coating. It is a surface conversion, which means it will not chip or flake. The finish absorbs light and hides surface marks. VSF replicated the look correctly. The dark matte tone is consistent across the case body, crown guard, and bezel base.
The bezel. Dark matte ceramized base with exposed metallic titanium graduations. The raised markers and dot indices are left uncoated so the bright titanium contrasts against the dark bezel surface. The bezel action is firm with clean clicks and the luminous pip is centered at 12. The exposed titanium graduations are the most visually distinctive part of the bezel and separate this from the ceramic insert models.
The dial. Matte white with a grainy texture. Not smooth. The grain adds depth and prevents the white from reading as flat plastic. Black skeletonized hands with luminous fill. Applied luminous indices. The red small seconds hand at 9 is the Luna Rossa racing red. "LUNA ROSSA" is printed on the dial. The white dial paired with the dark Ti-Ceramitech case is the highest-contrast combination in the Submersible line.
The movement. Dandong P.900 automatic. Standard date quickset and small seconds at 9. No independent jumping hour hand. The P.900 is the correct movement for the 44mm Submersible without GMT. Reliable, smooth winding, clean date change.
The strap. Blue bi-material with a rubberized textile top over a rubber base. The central red racing stripe matches the small seconds hand. The buckle is a dark matte tang closure that matches the Ti-Ceramitech case finish. Strap changes are fast and this case takes blue rubber or white rubber naturally. The red stripe strap gives the watch enough color identity without needing an aftermarket option.
