The Omega Constellation 123.20.38.21.13.001 is the two-tone Sedna gold version with the chocolate brown sunburst dial. Most Constellations run black, silver, or champagne dials. The brown is less common and it pairs specifically well with the rose gold bezel and claws. Rose gold and brown are a warmer combination than yellow gold and champagne. The dial. Chocolate brown with a sunburst finish. The brown shifts from a warm milk chocolate in bright light to a darker espresso in shadow. The Sedna gold-plated faceted indices and dauphine hands sit against it with strong contrast. The date at 3 has a gold surround. The applied Constellation star at 6 is gold-plated. The brown and rose gold pairing is warmer than the black and gold Constellations. It reads less formal than black and less flashy than champagne. VSF matched the brown correctly and the sunburst grain is tight and even.
The gold. Sedna rose gold PVD plating on the bezel, claws, crown, and bracelet hinge links. Sedna is Omega's proprietary rose gold alloy with a slightly paler, less pink tone than standard rose gold. VSF matched the hue. The plating is consistent across all the gold elements. The bezel is brushed with engraved Roman numerals, and the claws are polished. The contrast between the brushed steel case flanks and the polished rose gold claws is the same visual logic as the steel Constellations, just warmer.
The case. 38mm in 316L steel. Barrel-shaped body with the half-moon facets. The polished claws grip the bezel at 3 and 9. At 38mm and 12.5mm thick, the watch wears compact and fits under a dress cuff. The crown is Sedna gold-plated. VSF's finishing transitions between steel and gold are clean.
The movement. Dandong 8500 automatic with the independent jumping hour hand. The hour hand jumps in one-hour clicks for time zone changes without stopping the running seconds. The date is linked to the hour hand. The exhibition caseback shows the decorated movement with blackened screws and Geneva wave finishing. Winding is smooth and the date change is clean.
The bracelet. Two-tone integrated mono-rang with brushed steel horizontal links and polished Sedna gold hinge bars. The gold hinge links alternate with the steel links. The hidden butterfly clasp opens with a push-button release. The bracelet drapes well and the articulation is smooth. No strap changes possible without custom curved ends due to the integrated case design. The brown dial and two-tone bracelet together make this the warmest-looking Constellation in the 38mm range.
