The case. The Hour Vision case has sapphire crystal panels set into the sides. The front crystal, the caseback crystal, and the lateral windows together create a near-360-degree view of the dial and movement. It is the only Omega dress watch that does this. The case is 41mm in 316L steel. The side windows are framed by steel and the sapphire panels are flush with the case surface. It is not a dive watch and there is no crown guard or helium escape valve. The crown is a simple fluted push-pull. VSF got the side window construction and the overall case proportions right.
The dial. Blue sunburst with a grooved concentric hour track. The center of the dial has the sunburst finish. The outer ring has grooved concentric circles that catch light differently from the center and create a visual boundary for the applied indices. The indices are polished and faceted. The hands are dauphine style with Super-LumiNova fill, though the lume is minimal on a dress watch. The date at 3 has a polished surround. VSF matched the blue correctly and the dial layers are cleanly separated.
The movement. Dandong 8500 automatic with the independent jumping hour hand. The hour hand jumps in one-hour clicks for time zone adjustment without stopping the running seconds. The date is linked to the hour hand. The exhibition caseback and the side windows both show the movement. The finishing is visible from multiple angles, which is the point of the Hour Vision design. Winding is smooth and the date change is clean.
The strap. Blue leather with a steel deployant clasp. The blue matches the dial. The deployant clasp is the twin-trigger style that opens with two buttons. The strap tapers and integrates with the case lugs. Standard strap changes are possible since the Hour Vision does not use an integrated bracelet design like the Constellation. The blue leather pairing keeps the watch monochromatic and dress-appropriate.
