The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 126622 is the steel Yacht-Master with the platinum bezel and the slate dial. Rolex calls the combination Rolesium. The bezel is the same sandblasted-and-polished design as the gold Yacht-Masters, but in a platinum-toned finish that reads as a cooler, more muted metal than steel. The slate sunburst dial with the baby blue seconds hand and matching blue text is the only color on an otherwise monochrome watch. VSF Watch got the bezel finish, the dial color, and the movement right.

The bezel. Platinum-toned bidirectional bezel with a sandblasted matte background and polished raised numerals. The platinum finish is cooler than steel and warmer than white gold. It sits between the two. The raised numerals catch light against the matte background the same way the gold Yacht-Master bezels do, but the platinum tone reads less flashy. The bezel action is smooth with precise clicks. VSF matched the platinum color and the sandblasted texture correctly.
The dial. Slate grey sunburst with a baby blue seconds hand and matching "YACHT-MASTER" text in blue. The slate grey shifts from a bright metallic grey in direct light to a darker charcoal in shadow. The blue seconds hand is the only color on the dial and it is the detail that identifies this specific Yacht-Master reference. The applied Chromalight indices and the Mercedes hands glow blue in the dark. The date at 3 sits under the cyclops lens. The cyclops magnification is correct. VSF matched the slate grey tone, the blue seconds hand color, and the dial print.
The case. 40mm in 904L steel. The Yacht-Master case has more curved, ergonomic lugs than the Submariner. It wraps the wrist differently and wears slightly slimmer. The polished bevels along the lugs match the polished center links on the bracelet. The Triplock crown has crown guards and screws down. At 40mm and roughly 13mm thick, it fits under a dress cuff more easily than a Submariner. VSF got the case geometry and the lug profile right.
The movement. Dandong 3235 automatic with a 72-hour power reserve. Three days off the wrist without stopping. The movement has the correct blue hairspring and shock absorber layout. The date flips instantaneously at midnight. Winding is smooth and reliable. VSF's 3235 is the same movement they use across the Submariner and Yacht-Master range.
The bracelet. 904L steel Oyster with polished center links and an Oysterlock clasp. The polished center links set the Yacht-Master apart from the fully brushed Submariner bracelet. They catch more light and read dressier, which matches the Yacht-Master's positioning between a sports watch and a dress piece. The clasp has a safety catch and an Easylink extension. The polished links will pick up surface marks with daily wear, same as the gen.
