The Rolex Yacht-Master 40 126622 with the blue sunburst dial is the more colorful variant of the steel Yacht-Master. The slate grey version with the baby blue accents is the quieter one. This is the opposite. Deep blue sunburst with a red seconds hand and red "YACHT-MASTER" text. Same platinum-toned Rolesium bezel. Same polished Oyster bracelet. The blue and red against the platinum bezel reads more nautical. VSF Watch got the blue dial intensity, the red accents, and the movement right.

The bezel. The Rolesium bezel is the same across the steel Yacht-Master range. Sandblasted matte platinum-toned background with polished raised numerals and graduations. The platinum finish is cooler than steel and warmer than white gold. The raised numerals catch light against the matte background and create the 3D effect that defines the Yacht-Master bezel. Bidirectional rotation with smooth, precise clicks. Ceramic is harder but the metal bezel has more visual depth. VSF matched the platinum tone and the sandblasted texture correctly.
The dial. Blue sunburst with a red seconds hand and red "YACHT-MASTER" text. The blue shifts from a bright oceanic blue in direct light to a deep navy in shadow. The red seconds hand is the only color on the dial and it is the element that identifies this specific Yacht-Master variant. The applied indices and Mercedes hands have Chromalight fill that glows blue in the dark. The date at 3 sits under the cyclops lens. The cyclops magnification is correct and the date is centered in the window. VSF matched the blue tone, the red seconds hand color, and the dial print quality is clean.
The case. 40mm in 904L steel. The Yacht-Master case has more curved, sculpted lugs than the Submariner. It wraps the wrist tighter and wears slimmer at roughly 11.5mm thick. The polished case flanks and bevels along the lugs match the polished center links on the bracelet. The Triplock crown has crown guards and screws down for water resistance. The case slides under a dress cuff more easily than a Submariner. VSF got the case geometry and the lug profile right.
The movement. Dandong 3235 automatic with a 72-hour power reserve. Three days off the wrist without stopping. The movement has the correct blue hairspring and shock absorber layout. The date flips instantaneously at midnight. Winding is smooth. VSF's 3235 is the same movement across the Submariner and Yacht-Master range.
The bracelet. 904L steel Oyster with polished center links and an Oysterlock clasp. The polished center links separate the Yacht-Master from the fully brushed Submariner bracelet. They catch more light and read dressier. The clasp has a safety catch and an Easylink extension for roughly 5mm of quick adjustment. The polished links will pick up surface marks with daily wear, same as the gen.
