The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 is the silver dial with the gold hands and markers. The Oyster Perpetual is the entry-level Rolex. No date, no rotating bezel, no complication of any kind. It is the simplest watch Rolex makes and in 36mm it is the same size the Datejust wore for most of its history. The silver sunburst dial with the yellow gold-plated hands and indices gives it a warmer look than the all-steel OPs without adding the cyclops and the date window of a Datejust. The domed polished bezel and the fully brushed Oyster bracelet keep it clean. VSF Watch Factory got the dial color, the case proportions, and the movement right.

The dial. Silver sunburst with yellow gold-plated baton indices and hands. The silver has a fine sunburst grain that catches light and shifts from bright silver to a softer grey. The gold markers and hands are the warm element against the steel case and the silver dial. It is a subtle two-tone effect without the two-tone bracelet. The indices have Chromalight fill that glows blue in the dark. No date window. The dial is symmetrical at 12 and 6. The applied Rolex coronet at 12 and the printed "OYSTER PERPETUAL" text are the only markings. VSF matched the silver tone and the gold plating on the hands and indices is even.
The no-date movement. Dandong 3230 automatic with a 72-hour power reserve. The 3230 is the no-date version of the 3235. It has the same blue hairspring and the same power reserve. The crown only has two positions. Winding and time-setting. No ghost date position because the movement was built without a date complication from the start. This is important. Cheaper no-date reps use a modified date movement and the crown still has the phantom third position. VSF's 3230 does not. Winding is smooth and the movement is reliable.
The case. 36mm in 904L steel. Brushed lugs with polished case flanks. The bezel is a smooth domed polished ring. No fluting. No ceramic. No crown guard. The crown is a simple Twinlock screw-down. At 36mm the watch wears smaller than any Submariner or Yacht-Master and fits wrists that find the 40mm-plus Rolex sports watches too large. It also works as a unisex size. The domed bezel and the polished flanks give it more presence than the 36mm measurement suggests. VSF's case finishing and proportions are correct.
The bracelet. Fully brushed Oyster with an Oysterclasp and a 5mm Easylink extension. The all-brushed finish hides daily wear completely. No polished center links to scratch. The bracelet tapers and the articulation is smooth. The Easylink folds out from the clasp to add half a link's worth of extension when your wrist swells in the heat. No Glidelock on the Oyster Perpetual line. The clasp is simpler than the dive watch clasps but it sits flatter against the wrist.
