The 126283RBR is the diamond bezel version of the two-tone Datejust. The RBR suffix is Rolex's code for a gem-set bezel. Instead of the fluted gold bezel, this one runs a full ring of brilliant-cut stones around the dial. Add the golden fluted motif dial and the yellow gold Jubilee, and this is the loudest Datejust in the two-tone line.

The bezel. This is the defining change. The fluted bezel is gone, replaced by a fixed ring of brilliant-cut simulated diamonds. Each stone is hand-set, and the halo effect around the dial is immediate. It catches light from every direction and reads as jewelry first, watch second. The stones are CZ at this tier, but the setting quality is what determines whether it looks cheap or not, and VSF's hand-setting keeps it clean. This bezel is the reason the reference exists. If you want it, the bezel is the whole point.

The dial. Golden fluted motif. The same laser-etched geometric pattern as the slate grey version, but rendered in gold so it matches the case hardware. The pattern is subtle against the gold tone, which is the right call. A louder color would fight the diamond bezel for attention. The baton markers are yellow gold plated with blue Chromalight lume, which keeps the watch legible at night and prevents the diamond bezel from pushing it into fully formal territory. Date at 3 under the cyclops.

The movement. Dandong 3235. VSF's three-hand clone caliber, and the reason people buy VSF Datejusts over the competition. Genuine architecture, about 72 hours of reserve, crisp instant date change at midnight. The date wheel font and cyclops magnification are the two things that get checked first, and both hold up. The sweep is smooth.

The gold. Two-tone yellow gold. The crown and the three center Jubilee links are plated in a warm yellow gold. The rest of the case and bracelet is 904L steel. Against the golden dial and the diamond bezel, the yellow gold ties the whole thing together. It is a warmer, more traditional look than the Everose version.

The bracelet. Jubilee, five-piece links. Supple articulation, drapes over the wrist. Folding Oysterclasp with the 5mm Easylink extension, so you can adjust the fit through the day without a tool.

The takeaway. This is the showiest Datejust in the two-tone range. Diamond bezel, golden fluted motif dial, yellow gold Jubilee. It is not trying to be subtle and it does not succeed at being subtle. The baton markers with lume are the only concession to practicality. If you want a Datejust that reads as jewelry the moment it comes out of the sleeve, this is the one. If you want something that flies under the radar, this is the opposite of that.
